Some things just cant be learnt from a textbook. What do you wish you had known earlier?

Wouldn’t it have been great to have a list of life-hacks, cheat-sheets to life? Why not share these with our kids and give them a headstart 🙂

  • Envision it!: Turning your vision into a reality.
  • Establishing an Online Presence: Responsible and effective online presence.
  • Study Ninjas: How to use neuro-science to hack your own brain.
  • When time is not of the essence: Is time always of the essence?
  • Money Moves: Money habits for life
  • Healthy Boundaries
  • Anonymous Topics: Place topics that you want to speak about in a jar

ATTENDANCE IS IN PERSON FOR THE KIDS. THERE IS NO ONLINE OPTION DUE TO THE ACTIVITY-BASED NATURE OF THE WORKSHOP.

Please provide the kids with the following:

– A cushion or pillow that you don’t mind getting dirty in case we need extra seats.

-Snacks/ Packed Lunchbox: ( We will not be able to provide food for this session). There will be 2 snack breaks.

-A notebook and pens.

If your child is uncomfortable around other kids they do not know, you are welcome to stay for a little while until they are comfortable.

The workshop will be held in Centurion. The Exact Address will be provided only to confirmed attendees for safety reasons.

Parents will be added to whatsapp group using the phone number used when registering for the event. The group will be used for updates and pictures during and shortly after the workshop. You may opt out of the whatsapp communications.

SkillX NextGen: Emotions, Communication & Planning for Kids 2

Please note: Registration closes 2 days before the event to allow for preparations.

The kids will learn basic skills to understand and handle emotions and their reaction to situations. Give your kids a head-start managing themselves and learning to communicate and express themselves. This is a day session for kids and content will include but not be limited to:

  • My Emotions: The good, the bad, the ugly. What is normal?  How “bad” emotions are useful.
  • Dealing with anger and worry
  • Fair fighting
  • Assertive Communication: Creating Win-Wins, Being heard when it matters. (Assertive not Aggressive)
  • Goal-setting: Find what is important and using what is in your control to get it.
